2018 Queensland Country Credit Union NQ Sportstar Awards

Recognition of the achievements of our outstanding NQ Athletes across all sports.

The NQ Sportstar Awards is not only the ultimate recognition for all NQ Athletes, but a true celebration of sport across North Queensland.

The 2018 QCCU NQ Sportstar Awards was hosted by the Cassowary Coast Council in Mission Beach. The selection process commenced in early August 2018 after NQ LGA’s searched for the best athletes in their communities. Nominees from all over NQ were recognized at the Gala event which saw winners nominated for the QSport Awards. We were also honoured to have guest speaker, Summer and Winter Paralympic medalist Jessica Gallagher share her amazing story on the night.

Category winners Brodie Mayocchi (Mixed Martial Arts) & David Nicholas (Para Cycling) not only won their respective category, but have been shortlisted for the 2018 QSport Awards.

Congratulations to all nominees, winners and runners up.

Thank you to our sponsors, member councils and host Cassowary Coast Regional Council for making this incredible evening possible!
