The Glencore Overlander’s Way Festival of Sport has been designed to support community sports clubs to develop strong, sustainable organisations into the future.
We appreciate COVID may have impacted volunteering, participation and revenue generating opportunities in your region.
Glencore, the NQSF and the Local Government Authorities along the Overlander’s Way are committed to offering the support needed to assist your organisation.
The Glencore Overlander’s Way Festival of Sport includes a Capacity Building Roadshow which will commence June 14th concluding June 22nd.

The Glencore Overlander’s Way Festival of Sport has been developed to offer community sports clubs a range of support. Included in the itinerary is the Community Clubs Capacity Building Roadshow will be the how to.

– How to measure your club’s capacity
– How to plan and prioritise areas of improvement
– How to and where to find resources
– How to effectively understand Grants (guidelines and acquittals)
– How grants are assessed and what your club needs to consider to be successful
Presenters include Queensland Governments Sport and Recreation regional Advisors and Renee Madsen from Create and Evaluate. The topics will be presented and workshopped providing a very unique experience for club Managers, Secretaries, Treasurers, Presidents and Volunteers.
