Brand new community fitness challenge takes off in Cloncurry!

The North Queensland Sports Foundation and Cloncurrry Shire Council continued their support for the Move It NQ program by joint-funding a new outdoor kettlebell fitness class at Eddie Lee Field. Occurring every Monday and Wednesday, Curry Fitness – Suffer in Silence is run by local Elliot Watson, and is a minimal equipment fitness program that consists of running intervals, kettlebell training and core training to improve day to day function

NQSF awarded grant funding for First Nations sporting program in Cloncurry

The North Queensland Sports Foundation is proud to announce it was recently awarded $25,000 (exc GST) from The Queensland Government to partner with Mitakoodi Aboriginal Corporation in Cloncurry to deliver sport and recreational activities to First Nations children and young adults in community. NQSF and Mount Isa City Council extend successful MINQ program

The North Queensland Sports Foundation is proud to announce the extension of the successful Move It Mount Isa program, a joint initiative between NQSF and the Western Queensland Primary Health Network (WQPHN) with support from Mount Isa City Council. Since January of 2021 over 11,000 participants have got active and moving across 700+ free activity events in Mount Isa with this new funding to securing free Yoga, Pilates, and Fitness

NQSF partners with Hinchinbrook Shire Council to fund 54 free physical activity events

The North Queensland Sports Foundation announced today a joint partnership with Hinchinbrook Shire Council to fund and promote the Hinchinbrook Health and Wellbeing Program with the Move It NQ program in 2024.
