The NQSF is a non-profit operating in the North Queensland region with the support of ~25 Local Government Area Councils Members, with a purpose “to encourage and promote sports within the North Queensland region”.
Over time, our extended family has grown to Mayors, Deputy Mayors, Councillors, Hall of Famers, Multiple Olympic Gold Medallists and aspiring sport stars.

I have lived in North Queensland for around 30 years.
I’ve worked mostly in financial services over that time. My roles have included Financial planning, Branch Manager, Business Banking Specialist, BDM Superannuation and Relationship Manager Superannuation.
I’ve always taken an interest in local sport. I’ve been heavily involved with Rugby League, and cycling is a passion, however I do have a very broad interest over all.

Governance Information
The NQSF membership includes up to 25 North Queensland Local Government Authorities and their constituents totaling nearly 700,000. As NQSF is run by volunteers and a small employed team, NQSF’s member LGAs play a vital role in the delivery of both the event and project portfolio.
The NQSF is a non for profit public company operating independently in the North Queensland region with a purpose “to encourage and promote sports within the North Queensland region”.
NQSF is governed by a Board of Directors, including two Independent Directors, and receives advice from a number of Committees, Sub-Committees and from a Member Advisory Forum.
NQSF Members currently comprise of approximately 18 regional LGAs.
