NQSF appoints Glenn ‘Minty’ Mintern to Independent Director position

The North Queensland Sports Foundation is thrilled to welcome production and marketing veteran Glenn ‘Minty’ Mintern to it’s board in the vacant Independent Director position.

“I’m very pleased to announce that Minty is joining the Board of the North Queensland Sports Foundation”, announced NQSF’s A/Chief Executive Officer Alexander J. Fisher.

“Minty’s somewhat of an institution to sports up in North Queensland – he was first involved with NQSF back as emcee for the 2016 Sportstar Awards in Townsville”.

“His vision for how we can promote sport & recreation pathways and celebrate the stories of North Queenslanders aligns with mine – he’ll be of extreme value to the Foundation’s mission.”

Glenn Mintern has a 30+ year radio career behind him.  During this time he has hosted hundreds of events from small to large across Australia. These events have included major awards ceremonies, gala dinners and charity fundraisers.

In the sporting arena Glenn has had over a decade of experience as OnField Host with the North Queensland Cowboys, Game Day Host for WNBLChampions Townsville Fire completed 9 years working with Supercars as host of the On Track Bigscreen team plus roles with Queensland Reds, GC Suns and many more. Most recently Glenn hosted 2021 NRL State of Origin Game 1 in Townsville and Ground Announcer 2021 NRL GF and 2022 NRLW GF and 2023 NRLW State of Origin Game 2 Townsville.

Glenn has voiced thousands of commercials and presents regularly in tv commercials and corporate videos.
